We are making twenty-four short episodes: one a week, six months of three country mates trying to become men in 90s Australia and mostly proving why supervision was invented.
Australia has form. Bluey became a global monster and is now talked about in billion-dollar terms. The Wiggles built an empire out of skivvies, songs and relentless cheer. Bananas in Pyjamas travelled everywhere. Round the Twist became a generational fever dream. When Australian stories are specific, funny and unashamed of themselves, the world tends to notice.
Mukka is not trying to be international. It is trying to be so Australian it becomes international by accident.
We are raising money to make the first six months properly: writing, animation, voices, edit, sound, music, design, web, merch and the boring production bits that stop good ideas dying in a folder called Final_Final_ActuallyFinal.

Supporters get Mukka gear: shirts, posters, stickers, stubby holders, key rings, hats and the sort of cultural artefacts that make sense after two beers. At the top end, supporters may also be offered a development loan-style arrangement tied to future revenue, subject to proper paperwork.
Film and TV investment is risky. Very risky. Like Josh saying he knows a shortcut through Scarborough after six pints risky. We cannot promise the show will sell, generate YouTube revenue, get commissioned or return your money. The old commissioning model is wobbling around like a bloke trying to find his thongs at 3am. Audiences want more. Creators are being asked to do more with less. So we are doing the direct thing: make the show, build the audience, keep the IP here and let supporters come in early.
